The touch screen, Keyboard and trackpad stop working. uninstalling all items from device manager and doing a scan for hardware resolves the issue but after leaving the machine for an hour or so and the issue returns.(either shutdown or letting it go to standby.
Windows 11 is latest version (23H2) and all drivers are up to date. machine has no physical damage.

It is not waking up from standby. I had the same problem just yesterday when I put in 23H2. I suspect you need to revert back by uninstalling the update. You may have to wait for HP to release a driver as I see there are none available yet. At least I cannot find any:
You might try disabling fast boot and sleep in your Windows 11 power plan. Fast boot (rapid startup) uses the hibernation file and I suspect those devices are not wakening up properly.
It was my USB-3 adapter that had the problem. I "solved" the problem by not allowing it to save power by turning off. That was an option in the device driver for my Renesas USB-3 adapter. I am not sure if this applies to your devices.
