I bought my laptop in july 2023 and the trackpad coating of my laptop has already started peeling off even after having a very minimal amount of use for last year. really disappointed by HP. Is there anything i can do to restrict further peel off of my trackpad?

Hi @dinofanatic,

It's unfortunate to hear about the peeling issue you're experiencing with your HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fc0000. Here are some steps you can take to restrict further peeling of your trackpad coating:

Tips to Prevent Further Peeling:

Regular Cleaning:

  • Clean the trackpad regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove dust and oil. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Use a Screen Protector:

  • Consider using a clear trackpad protector film specifically designed for laptop trackpads. This can help reduce wear and tear.

Gentle Use:

  • Use the trackpad with clean hands to minimize oils and dirt transfer. Be gentle while using the trackpad, avoid pressing too hard.

Environmental Factors:

  • Store your laptop in a cool and dry place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity.

I hope this helps.
