Hi:

 

I would have to say that something is wrong with the keyboard/keyboard ribbon connector to the motherboard, if only certain keys are not working and the problem is getting worse.

 

The BIOS update would not help you with getting W10 to work.

 

These were the release notes...

 

- Fixes issue where CPU name strings for Intel 
  Pentium Dual-Core Mobile Processor T2310 and 
  T2330 CPUs are incorrect.

That makes sense.  May I ask about the multimedia soft keys at the top of the keyboard. they are in the same strip as the power button. Is some driver or software needed to get those to work? They light up but dont do anything.

I believe you may need this driver for the softkeys...

 

This package contains the software that enables the HP Quick Launch Buttons, which are special function keys on HP Notebooks. This software works with supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
