unable to access hp pavillon dv3500 drivers using Support Assistant . Need direct link urgently

please give me direct link for windows 7 drivers for my laptop Page. 

When I use Support Assistant, e after "Detecting my laptop" it freezes on "Compiling your report"

I have 1 unknown device in device manager
I would also like . drivers for multimedia softkeys, this model has the Player soft keys at the top.

Hi:

HP retired support for that model since it is more than 10 years old.

Also that model was never offered with Windows 7, so only Vista drivers were/are available.

The good news is, usually the Vista drivers work fine on W7.

What is the product number of your dv3500, so I can check to see if a reputable 3rd party website has Vista drivers for it?

You need this W7 driver for the unknown device...

This package contains the driver for the Validity Fingerprint Sensor in the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems.

File name: sp45050.exe

Unfortunately, I could not find a decent list of drivers for your model notebook from any 3rd party website.

If you let me know what other drivers you need, I will see what I can do to help.

Since the file was meant to be run on Windows Vista, I have no idea what will happen if you run it on W7.

It may work fine, or it may turn your notebook into an expensive paperweight, so update at your own risk, or reinstall a supported operating system to update the BIOS with.

the fingerprint sensor driver worked ,thanks.

the bios driver says THIS BIOS IS NOT FOR YOUR NOTEBOOK PC.

in addition, the cva file doesnt download. 

any idea?

I am wondering if the BIOS update will help it to be WIndows 10 compatible. When I installed Win 8 or 10, same behavior. After 10 minutes, the laptop shuts down

Some of the keys have stopped working. FIrst it was only the L key, then the D key . Withi 3 or 4 days. I am using an external keyboard, which is fine I wonder if this could be software related?
