HP Pavilion - 15-cs3719nd
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP Pavilion - 15-cs3719nd gives a flickering image during startup and then goes black. After restarting everything works fine. PC Hardware Diagnostics Tool finds no problems. I made a recording. but dont know how i can show that here. I try to attach it. Anyone have an idea what this could be?

@knov2, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Pavilion - 15-cs3719nd is experiencing a temporary display flicker and black screen during startup, which resolves after a restart. Since the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Tool reports no hardware issues, this is likely related to graphics drivers, fast startup settings, or BIOS/firmware.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Update Graphics Drivers

  1. Go to Device ManagerDisplay adapters.
  2. Right-click your graphics card (Intel/NVIDIA) and select Update driver.
  3. Alternatively, download the latest drivers from the HP support page: Official HP® Support

Disable Fast Startup

Sometimes, Windows Fast Startup can cause display issues during boot.

  1. Press Windows + R, type powercfg.cpl, and press Enter.
  2. Click Choose what the power buttons do.
  3. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
  4. Uncheck Turn on fast startup (recommended).
  5. Click Save changes and restart your PC.

Update BIOS

An outdated BIOS can cause compatibility issues.

  1. Visit the same HP support page.
  2. Download and install the latest BIOS update for your model.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully.

Check for Windows Updates

Make sure your system is fully updated:

  • Go to Settings → Windows Update and install all available updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
