Hi @Shirley132,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you have your HP PC Camera not working. here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check Camera Privacy Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
  • Make sure that access to the camera is allowed for apps, and specifically for Microsoft Teams.

Update Camera Driver:

  • Open Device Manager (you can search for it in the Start menu).
  • Expand the Imaging Devices section.
  • Right-click on your camera and select Update Driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Reinstall Camera Driver:

  • In Device Manager, right-click on your camera and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the camera driver.

Check Camera App:

  • Open the built-in Camera app to see if the camera works there. If it does, the issue might be with Microsoft Teams or its settings.

Check Microsoft Teams Settings:

  • Open Microsoft Teams and go to Settings (click on your profile picture in the top-right corner).
  • Go to Devices and ensure that the correct camera is selected.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click Check for updates to ensure you have the latest updates installed.

Check for Physical Issues:

  • Ensure there is no physical obstruction or cover on the camera.
  • Verify that no other applications are using the camera.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
