@Harjeet1, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Spectre x360 webcam is not opening and failing to detect your face at startup, preventing Windows Hello from working, there are a few things to check.

First, make sure the webcam privacy shutter is open, as Spectre models have a physical kill switch (F12 key or side toggle) that disables the camera.

Next, verify that the camera is working by opening the Camera app, if it’s not detected, check Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager > Imaging Devices or Cameras) to see if the IR camera is listed and enabled. If there’s a warning symbol, update or reinstall the camera driver by right-clicking it and selecting Update driver.

Also, ensure Windows Hello is enabled under Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options > Face Recognition (Windows Hello) and try re-enrolling your face. If the issue started after a Windows update, rolling back the camera driver.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue
