why doesn't my hp notebook 15 fc0000 not detecting my second monitor the cable is on tight and the monitor just goes to sleep after turning on

DVI to HDMI cable should work, I'm using this connection right now with

 

               https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/comsol-hdmi-male-to-dvi-male-cable-1m-cohddm01

 

Please check your cable.
