I am using a dell m6800 precision laptop in a dock. It has a Nvidia Quadro K5100M video card with 8gb of memory and a 256bit , 16gb of 1866 memory and an Intel i7-4900MQ cpu

I don't know HOW do you connect it the the source, in this case your machine ---> dock ----> monitor . What is the dock and what is the cable ?

Updated: your computer has 1 HDMI port and 1 DP port, Dell does not say which versions. Can you connect directly from your computer to the monitor ? What is the result ?

Regards.
