Hi @Likit ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're seeing a yellowish tint on one side of the display on your Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop (598U9AV), the issue could be due to either a software or hardware problem. Here’s how to troubleshoot:
1. Check Display Settings
- Go to Settings > System > Display.
- Ensure Night Light is turned off, as this can sometimes cause a warm tint on your screen.
- Adjust the Color Calibration by searching for "Color Calibration" in the Start menu and follow the on-screen instructions to recalibrate your display.
2. Graphics Driver Update
- Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Display adapters section, right-click your GPU, and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and let it update if needed.
- Alternatively, visit the HP support page for the latest drivers.
3. Test with External Monitor
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV.
- If the external display is fine, it may indicate a hardware issue with your laptop’s internal display.
- If the yellow tint also appears on the external monitor, the issue may be software or GPU related.
4. Check for Physical Damage
- Inspect the screen for any physical damage, such as cracks or pressure points, that might be causing the discoloration.
- Gently press around the edges of the screen to see if the yellow tint changes, as loose connections or pressure could cause display issues.
5. Perform a BIOS Update
- Sometimes, firmware issues can cause display problems. Visit the HP Support website, look for your laptop model, and check if a BIOS update is available.
6. HP Diagnostics HP PCs - Testing for hardware failures
- Run HP Hardware Diagnostics by restarting the laptop and pressing F2 at startup to enter the diagnostics menu.
- Run the Display Test to identify if the issue is hardware-related.
