I have a network card that is only 2.4 and I want a card that will find the 5ghz signal from my router. I have a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter.
Suggestions please on adapters that run 5g and will be compatible with the laptop.
Thanks

Hi:
Open up the notebook and let me know how many antenna wires are connected to the Realtek card in there now.
Here is the link to the service manual.

Hi:
Since your notebook has an AMD processor and chipset, you are limited to these two options:
Dual band AC:
Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo HP Part #724935-001.
This card would have a throughput of 867 MBPS max on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router.
Dual band N:
Broadcom BCM943228HMB 802.11 a/b/g/n 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo HP part #730668-001
This card would have a maximum throughput of 300 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz wifi band.
You should be able to find either card on eBay by searching by the HP part number of the model you are interested in.
The AC card is probably around $20 - $30 and the dual band N card would be less than $20.
These would be the W10 drivers you need for either card.
Wifi: After you connect to the internet, W10 should install a slightly newer driver version.

I hate to say but I am having trouble finding the part that includes both the HP part number #730668-001 and the other spec
"Broadcom BCM943228HMB 802.11 a/b/g/n 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo" I put all the info into amazon and ebay, but can't find with both sets of numbers. Any ideas or substitutes?

This one should work...
That is the same one I have in my HP 350 G1 notebook.
The prices are going up on these cards. You used to be able to get them for $10 bucks a couple of years ago.
