Hi @mambati ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing a network issue with your OMEN By HP 16.1 Inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-Wf0000 Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

  • Update Drivers: Make sure your laptop's network drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause issues with detecting newer wireless bands like the 6GHz band.
  • Compatibility: Ensure that your laptop's wireless adapter is compatible with the 6GHz band. Not all devices support this band, so double-check the specifications of your laptop to confirm.
  • Router Settings: Confirm that the 6GHz band is properly configured and enabled on your ASUS WiFi 6E router. Check the router's settings to ensure that the 6GHz band is not disabled or restricted in any way.
  • Channel Selection: Some devices might have trouble detecting certain channels within the 6GHz band. Try changing the channel settings on your router to see if that helps your laptop detect the network.
  • Signal Interference: Interference from other devices or nearby networks could also affect the visibility of the 6GHz band. Try moving closer to the router or temporarily disabling other wireless devices to see if that makes a difference.
  • Operating System Updates: Ensure that your operating system (Windows 11) is fully updated. Sometimes, software updates can address compatibility issues and improve performance.
  • Router Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your ASUS router. Updating the router's firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues with newer devices.
