I have a HP Notebook - 15-bs060wm that I bought a few months ago. The wifi was working very well on it until one day, it just stopped working. I attempted to reinstall the wifi driver, but I continually get this error
A service installation section in this INF is invalid - wifi driver
It doesn't matter if I do a manual install of the driver or an auto detect and install.
I did download the latest drivers for this laptop from HP.
I have flashed the bios to the current version
There is no wifi button on this laptop other than airplane mode.
The wired internet adpater works just fine.
The bluetooth works just fine.
I have tried just every tech support option for this error - on HP, Intel, Microsoft and others.
I tried to reset the entire computer - but it won't reset (tried 3 times).
I just want my wifi back so I would appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks.

Have you made a USB recovery flash drive by use of the HP Recovery Manager?
The wifi driver can be installed by use of the USB recovery flash drive. I
Have you identified the Brand, model and part number of the installed wifi adapter?
You can do that in the Device Manager. Invoke the Device Manager with Windows key and a tap of the X key to invoke the menu and choose Device Manager. Look in the list of devices for Network Adapters. You should see the name of the device there. If not, click on and then right click the network adapter that lacks a driver. Select and click on Properties to invoke the properties window of the device and click on the Details tab as seen in the image below. Select the hardware IDS and the provide the values of the info that you see in the next response you make in your thread.
