Hi @CeVeGa

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like the system update has caused some issue with your HP ENVY x360 laptop’s ability to log into your router. This could be due to a network setting being changed, a driver issue, or a conflict that occurred during the update. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check Your Wi-Fi Connection

  • Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on your laptop. Check if the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar shows that you are connected to the correct network.
  • Restart your router: Sometimes, a simple reboot of your router can resolve connectivity issues. Unplug your router for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
  • Reconnect to the network: After the router restarts, try to reconnect to the Wi-Fi network by clicking on the Wi-Fi icon in your taskbar and selecting your network.

2. Forget and Reconnect to Your Wi-Fi Network

  • Forget the network on your laptop and reconnect.
    1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon in your taskbar and select Network & Internet settings.
    2. Under Wi-Fi, click on Manage known networks.
    3. Find your Wi-Fi network, click it, and select Forget.
    4. Afterward, reconnect to the network by selecting it from the Wi-Fi list and entering the password.

3. Check the Router’s Login Credentials

  • If the issue is with accessing the router’s settings page, ensure that you are entering the correct IP address for the router (typically 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) in the web browser's address bar.
  • Login credentials: The default router username and password are often admin/admin or admin/password unless changed by you or the ISP. If you’re unsure, check the router's manual or bottom of the router itself for login details.

4. Update Your Network Adapter Drivers

Sometimes, system updates can affect network drivers. You can check for driver updates for your network adapter.

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand the Network adapters section.
  3. Right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter (usually something like "Intel Wireless" or "Realtek" depending on your laptop) and select Update driver.
  4. Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and follow the prompts to install any available updates.
  5. After updating, restart your laptop and see if the issue is resolved.

I hope this helps.
