In an environment where simultaneous connections are not allowed, does HP recommend that the auto LAN/WLAN switching option within the BIOS be enabled?

If your notebook has a LAN/WLAN switching setting in the BIOS and you don't want the notebook to be able to use wireless and ethernet at the same time the setting should be enabled.

You may want to read this related discussion if it is applicable to the notebook you are referring to:

Appreciate the fast response.  Based upon the link, would you recommend the soft pack be installed as well?  I believe the soft pack adds a service as well.  Does the service need to be changed from automatic to manual or left as automatic?  Also, does the soft pack include software?  If so, what settings within the software would be ideal?

You're very welcome.

You would need to install the HP hotkey support driver from your notebook's support page.

The one referenced in that discussion was for an older version and if you click on the link, the file has been removed from the HP FTP site.
