HP 15-eh1104ua
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. I have an HP 15-eh1104ua laptop with Windows 10 and a Realtek 8821CE network card. The problem is that when the laptop is running on battery power, there are strong ping surges in online games. By searching the Internet, I found that many people with such a network card have this problem and there is no solution to this anywhere (except replacing the network card with an Intel AX200). When I installed Windows 11 on the laptop, the problem disappeared - there are no delays, the ping is stable. It is interesting that Windows 11 itself installed the network card driver DriverVer = 07/10/2019,2024.0.8.108 during installation. I copied this driver from the driver folder (C: \ Windows \ System32 \ DriverStore \ FileRepository) Windows 11 and manually installed it on a clean Windows 10 and there is no problem, everything is fine. But the driver that I copied from Windows 11 without a digital signature and it is installed on Windows 10 only in test mode with the digital signature verification disabled. After rebooting, the digital signature verification is enabled and the system disables the driver. I found such a driver number on the Internet. Please tell me, maybe it is possible to somehow extract the driver from Windows 11 along with the digital signature (.cat file). Or sign the driver with a digital signature somewhere. The file that I marked in the screenshot is missing, which is suitable for the driver version DriverVer = 07/10/2019,2024.0.8.108 .

Hi:

Have you tried the latest driver which is good for both W10 & W11?

2024.10.228.9

I tried all driver versions from the official website. But only on the driver DriverVer = 07/10/2019,2024.0.8.108, which is included in Win11, by default the ping is stable and there are no spikes.

If that is the only driver that works for your notebook, you can get the official driver from Microsoft at the link below:

It's the same file listed multiple times.

Microsoft Update Catalog

There is no exe file, so you have to manually install the driver.

You may as well select the first one on the list.

I explored the file contents, and it is for 64 Bit operating systems.

[version]
Signature = "$Windows NT$"
Class = Net
ClassGUID = {4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}
Provider = %Realtek%
CatalogFile = netrtwlane.cat ;; for WHQL certified
DriverVer = 06/05/2019,2024.0.8.108
[Manufacturer]
%Realtek% = Realtek,NTamd64.10.0
%TPLINK% = TPLINK,NTamd64.10.0

[ControlFlags]
ExcludeFromSelect = *

[Realtek.NTamd64.10.0]

After you download the file, install the free 7-Zip file utility from the link below.

The first file listed is for 64 bit.

7-Zip

After you install 7-Zip, right click on the Realtek Wi-Fi driver cabinet file you downloaded from Microsoft.

Have 7-Zip Extract to: and let it extract the file into that long file name.

Ignore any errors or messages.

After the driver folder has been created, go to the device manager, click on the Realtek Wi-Fi adapter needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab, click on Update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that 7-zip created.

Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.

Then I suggest you restart the notebook and hopefully you can run the Wi-Fi adapter normally without having to disable the digital signal verification.

Thank you. I downloaded the driver 06/05/2019,2024.0.8.108. But its .inf file does not contain my adapter PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_C821&SUBSYS_884D103C and it does not install. I need 07/10/2019,2024.0.8.108, like the default Windows 11. But I can't find a digital signature for it.

You're very welcome.

Sorry that driver didn't work.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try since Microsoft does not have that driver version and date available for download.

I don't know if you tried this version, but it is the oldest one I could find from HP that has driver support for the hardware ID you posted:
