Hi,

Need a little help, I installed Windows 7 and 8 on my notebook HP Probook 4530s Intel Core i3.

And in both cases the Wi-fi doesn't work (although I can turn off and on the LED on / off function), but it cannot identify any network.

And the sound doesn't work, although I have installed the sound driver, but the following message appears when I put cursor over the icon over systray "the audio service is not running", but when I go to OS services it is started .

Maybe it's something with the chipset, but I've installed so much drivers and I don't know what else to do.

And then, the Hardware Ids that appear in Device Manager.

Hi Paul.

I installed all drivers, the sound is ok now.

But the wireless continues not working, but by ethernet or 3G works fine.

I think has a problem with hardware, because the led of function appear ON or Off when i press the button on the keyboard, white light when turn on and orange light when turn off, but not working successfully.

And now, just one appear on Device Manager.

Unknown Device

USB\VID_03F0&PID_311D

Thanks for help me!

You're very welcome.

Maybe that is the fingerprint sensor?  I thought it was the Atheros bluetooth...

Unfortunately, I can't help you with the wireless card. If you don't see a Network Controller listed under Other Devices or it is not listed in the Device Manager under the Network Adapters section, then you may have a bad wireless card or motherboard.

I would remove the battery and A/C power and remove and reseat the wireless card.  Maybe the contacts are oxidized.
