BlueTooth driver for Windows 10

I recently upgraded my Pavilion dv2700tv to Windows 10. The upgrade went well but there  were some problems that I can not overcome. Drivers for the HP Bluetooth Module would not work in Windows 10 and no drivers were installed using windows update. I went to Broadcom's website and download the drivers that were supposed to work with the module but no joy was found. After several days for exploring and trying out different drivers, I settled on Broadcom's Driver version 12.0.0.4051, driver date 11/8/2012. This driver works with the module. Windows 10 Action Center recognizes the driver and provides a button that can be toggled on and off. The problem is I can pair a device(phone, headset) but I can't connect to a device. I toggle on the connect button but my device does not appear in the connection list. Are there any drivers that are compatible with windows 10 and the HP Bluetooth Module where I can not only pair but connect to external devices? Thanks for your help.

I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv2700tv CTO Entertainment Notebook and issue with drivers for Bluetooth and Windows 10. Here is troubleshooting when drivers are not available yet.

Have you tried in the Device Manager to update the driver that is currently installed?

In the device manager try selecting find new hardware.

Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. It has a Wireless support assistant inside it that might help you.

The updated drivers will be posted as available. We are seeing them update regularly. Please be aware that HP does not guarantee Windows 10 drivers will be available from Windows Update.

Thanks for responding to my post for help. I was able to find a driver that seems to work but not fully. The button in Action Center toggles on and off appropriately. I can pair devices sucessfully however, it won't connect to the device. All of my devices are listed but their is no way to connect even after pressing the Connect button in Action Center.

HP's drivers won't work in Windows 10 environment. A dialog box pops up and states that it won't work  and is not compatible with Windows 10 and at times further states that Broadcom drivers don't work in Windows 10 so I downloaded Broadcom's drivers anyway and it appeared to work but not fully.

I've dedicated many hours troubleshooting this issue but as of this writing...no joy. Any help would be appreciated. This laptop is a pretty compitant laptop and I would like to get it fully working. I also get the "Not equal or less IRQL netwlv64. Not often but enough to annoy me 🙂

Hey @Pogostyx.

I recommend to restore the BIOS defaults.You could restore the BIOS with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings. This will have the Notebook take a look at the Hardware devices attached.

HI...I have the latest BIOS (F.2E) for the main board. I haven't adjusted the BIOS settings but based on your recommendation, I reset to the default. The issues remain. Someone linked to my post and recommended that I revert back to my previous OS. What a bummer! After all the work I put into Window's 10 for someone to recommend that I revert back to the previous OS made me sick.flagrant, idiotic suggestion.

Maybe a bluetooth dongle would be an appropriate solution to tackle this issue until MS provides a driver that actually works..

Hi, I'm back! Just wondering if there is a replacement or an upgrade to the HP Bluetooth Module? I don't believe that the module is the same as the HP Integrated Bluetooth Module. Maybe the replacement may solve the blutooth and error not less or equale to(netvlw64) issue. What's your thought?

If you cna' find the compatible driver from HP support website, try to search for in on the web. Some driver providing websites may have what you want. However, searching may take your much time. If you want to solve it quickly, try to use  driver tool to download bluetooth driver for Windows 10.

Windows 10 still has compatibility program, many software need time to be upgrade. It is neccessary to think about it!

Yeah... I installed a Plugable 2.0 USB Bluetooth 4.0 adapter instead. Windows 10 installed an updated driver for it but it didn't work. I eventually Installed the driver supplied on the CD that came with the Plugable. It all works well. I had to uninstall the HO Bluetooth Module software and disable the module before I installed the Plugable drivers. Thanks for your post.

I spent mush time to search compatible drivers for my HP laptop which was upgraded to Windows 10. And many drivers were not compatible. Finally, I follwed a guy 's opinions．I tried to use driver program named Driver Talent to update drivers for HP in Windows 10. It can find a good for,e. I think you can have a try!

I had the same problem with my Envy DV7-7227cl with Brodcom wifi/bluetooth PCIe. No bluetooth after win 10 upgrade. Even tho this fix is written for intel card it worked with my Brodcom. Follow this link and try it.
