I was sure that my HP Pavilion dv7-6b56nr Entertainment Notebook PC didn't support Bluetooth after a search in Control Panel and Device Manager but then I saw a Bluetooth driver on the driver page for my laptop. Can someone confirm whether it supports it and my laptop just has an internal connection break, or if it actually doesn't support (my original theory) and I have to buy a USB Bluetooth adapter, in which case does anyone have any recommendations?

Hi:
The product specs for your notebook indicate that it does not come with built in Bluetooth networking, or that feature would have been listed along with the 802.11b/g/n WLAN wireless connectivity specification.

Bluetooth drivers are listed on your notebook's support page, because some models in the dv7-6b model series have combination wifi/Bluetooth adapters. The drivers listed on the support page are not model specific.
To add Bluetooth networking to your PC, the easiest thing to do would be to purchase an external usb Bluetooth adapter.
I use this one on two of my HP desktop PC's and it works fine.
