Hi all,

I have a frustrating problem. I  turn on Bluetooth for both my Samsung Galaxy A 9 phone and the Galaxy tab A tablet. I link them with no problem but then the connection stops. When I try to reconnect, my phone says can't connect. I've deleted and relinked the phone and tablet but the connection turns off in a few seconds and I can no longer reconnect.

I've searched around, but I haven't found a solution.

Any ideas.

Thanks and Merrry Christmas!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the Bluetooth connection.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Is the computer working fine with other Bluetooth devices?

What is the product number of your computer?

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS and the chipset driver from the below link and check if it helps.

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

If you continue facing the issue, then uninstall the Bluetooth driver from the device manager and then download and install the driver from the above link.

Here is how it is done.

  1. Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
  2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
  3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
  4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

The_Fossette,

Thanks.

No idea if other bluetooth devices work. I only have my tablet and phone.

I don't have the option to deinstall the bluetooth drivers.

My computer is an Envy 360 15 e0003 ca and the number is 10M46UA#ABL

I'm stumped so what else can I do?

Thanks again!

The_Fossette,

I downloaded, installed the driver then rebooted and I have Connected (2)

So for now it works we'll see how it goes tomorrow when I reboot the computer.

Thanks for the link. I saved it on an external hard drive if ever I need to reinstall it.

Too quick to sing victory. I have the exact same problem. The connection lasts for a second and then turns off.

Even if I turn off the phone and computer's blutetooth, the connection doesn't hold.
