Hi @Rksharma24,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I understand how frustrating it must be to experience audio issues with your soundbar when using your HP laptop. It can be really irritating when things don’t work as expected, especially when you see it functioning fine on other devices. Let's try to narrow down the potential causes and find a solution for you.

Possible Causes:

  1. Bluetooth Compatibility Issues: Your laptop’s Bluetooth version might not fully support the soundbar, leading to connectivity problems.
  2. Driver Issues: Outdated or incompatible Bluetooth or audio drivers could cause audio breakage.
  3. Audio Settings: Incorrect audio output settings might lead to poor audio quality.
  4. Interference: Other wireless devices or even physical obstructions could interfere with the Bluetooth signal.

Let's try these steps and see how they go.

Update Bluetooth Drivers:

  • Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting it.
  • Expand the Bluetooth section, right-click on your Bluetooth adapter, and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and follow the prompts.

Check Audio Settings:

  • Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar and select Playback devices.
  • Ensure your soundbar is set as the default device. You may also check the properties to see if enhancements are enabled; try disabling them to see if it improves the sound quality.

Remove and Re-Pair the Soundbar:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
  • Remove your soundbar from the list of paired devices, then re-pair it. This can sometimes resolve connection issues.

Change Bluetooth Audio Quality Settings:

  • Open Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your soundbar and select Properties. Under the Services tab, ensure that the Audio Sink option is checked. Sometimes, changing the Bluetooth audio quality to a lower setting can help.

Run Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Select Additional troubleshooters and run the Playing Audio troubleshooter. Follow the instructions to detect and resolve any issues.

If the problem persists, consider testing the soundbar with another Bluetooth device to ensure it's functioning correctly.

You can also reach out to HP phone support directly again and request to look into this issue. Given that a technician has already come out, it might be beneficial to ask for a more in-depth evaluation.

Keep me posted for further assistance
