You need to fix whatever bug you have with Bluetooth. As with so many others I see leaving messages I have the same issue where the Bluetooth to my headphones keep dropping. A restart always fixes the issue for about 24 hours then it either drops completely or sounds drops in and out and I need to restart to resolve. I love HP products and never had the issue with my old laptop. I have connected Bluetooth for many years so I know how to connect and even did all the suggested fixes I see mentioned in these post. However just as many of these post nothing seems to fix the issue. I wish you would get some smart engineers to look deeper into this issue and maybe come up with a patch or something. Maybe its something with Win 11 because my old hp was win 10 and I never had an issue.

Hi @randycressman,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to deal with persistent Bluetooth issues, especially when you've already tried various fixes. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the Bluetooth dropouts on your HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15 running Windows 11.
Update Bluetooth Drivers
- Device Manager: Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager. Find Bluetooth, expand it, right-click your Bluetooth adapter, and choose Update driver. Select Search automatically for drivers.
- HP Support Website: You can also visit the HP Support website and check for the latest drivers specific to your laptop model.
Adjust Power Management Settings
- In Device Manager, right-click your Bluetooth adapter and select Properties.
- Go to the Power Management tab and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. Click OK to save changes.
Bluetooth Troubleshooter
- Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters. Find Bluetooth and click Run. Follow the prompts to identify and fix issues.
Check for Windows Updates
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and ensure that your system is up to date. Install any pending updates.
Bluetooth Device Settings
- Make sure your headphones are updated with the latest firmware, if applicable.
- Remove the Bluetooth device from your laptop and re-pair it to see if that resolves connectivity issues.
Change Bluetooth Audio Codec
- You can try changing the audio codec your headphones use.
- Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar, select Sounds, and go to the Playback tab. Right-click on your Bluetooth headphones, select Properties, and under the Advanced tab, experiment with different bit rates and formats.
Reset Bluetooth Settings
- In Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices, turn off Bluetooth, then restart your laptop, and turn Bluetooth back on.
Reinstall Bluetooth Drivers
- In Device Manager, right-click the Bluetooth adapter and select Uninstall device. Restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.

Check for Interference
- Other devices (like microwaves, Wi-Fi routers, etc.) can cause Bluetooth interference. Try to minimize these sources of interference when using Bluetooth.
Consider a Bluetooth USB Adapter
- If the problem persists and significantly impacts your experience, you might consider using a Bluetooth USB adapter, which can sometimes offer more stable connectivity than built-in Bluetooth.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

so far it appears resolved. I believe the option that resolved it was in device manager>Bluetooth>Bluetooth adapter
power management tab and Unchecking the "allow computer to turn off this device to save power" It was as if the pc kept turning it off with this checked causing all kinds of issues and needed a restart to fix till it shut if off again.

i thought i had it fixed but alas it is not. I even bought a new Bluetooth earbuds today. They paired and connected right away. Then after 20 mins just disconnected would not re-connect without a PC restart. I tried all the suggestions mentioned, I uninstalled the driver and re-installed all to no help. I am seeing so many post with the same issue there has to be a flaw somewhere with your product. Perhaps it's the Realtek adapter itself. i don't have any issue with any of my devices when used with my Lenovo pc I use for my job. So it is not the devices or any interference from devices since it only happens with this HP laptop. Not to mention it never happened with my older hp laptop i used with windows 10. at this point I may never buy an HP device again. Please help
