Any bluetooth keyboard I connect the laptop, the @ key does not show up. It comes up as 2 or ".
The settings in languages is UK. This is where I am.
Would anyone have a solution to this problem?
Most appreciated, and thank you.
Domenico.

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your keyboard layout is mismatched with your input settings. Even though your language is set to UK (English - United Kingdom), your keyboard layout might be set to something different.
Here’s how to fix it:
1: Check & Change Keyboard Layout
Open Settings → Time & Language → Language & Region.
Under Preferred Languages, click on English (United Kingdom).
Click Keyboard options and ensure that United Kingdom is selected (NOT United States or another layout).
If United Kingdom is missing, click Add a keyboard, select United Kingdom, and remove any other layouts.
2: Use the Correct Keyboard Shortcut
If your keyboard layout is incorrect, try pressing Shift + ' (apostrophe) to see if @ appears.
Sometimes, pressing Shift + 2 may work if the layout is wrong.
3: Manually Change Layout via Shortcut
Press Windows + Spacebar to toggle between installed keyboard layouts. If multiple layouts are installed, cycle through until the correct one works.
4: Test with On-Screen Keyboard
Press Windows + Ctrl + O to open the On-Screen Keyboard.
Click Shift and then the @ key to check what input appears.
Solution 5: Remove and Reconnect the Bluetooth Keyboard
Go to Settings → Devices → Bluetooth & other devices.
Click on your keyboard and select Remove device.
Reconnect the keyboard and test if the issue persists.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
