HP ENVY x360 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Purchased the brand new HP Envy x360 Convertible today. The product number is X8M12EA#ABU

The spec for this product clearly states that it has Bluetooth 4.2

This is the link to where we bought it and the specifications are also there:

http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/hp-envy-x360-15-ar052sa-15-6-2-in-1-black-101...

Click on the specifications tab, it clearly says it has Bluetoon 4.2

The notebook does a few upgrades when it starts up - We have the latest upgrade.

I've been trying for the last three hours to find bluetooth on this device. It is extremely unhelpful, no documents on it, no reference to it on the PC. Have tried clicking the "Action Centre" icon bottom right and looking for the bluetooth icon to activate it... no button exists.

Have also tried clicking on the start button, followed by settings, NONE of the settings make any reference to bluetooth.

Tried looking in device manager, looking under every category and especially Network Adaptors - No reference to bluetooth.

Could someone please explain what's going on? I'm ripping my hair out here!!!!

Thank you!

Hi! @KrisDirector, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand that you have Bluetooth issues with your laptop.

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

Did you make any changes on your laptop?

Please try the steps recommended below.

Select the Start button, and then select the Get started app.
Before you can use a Bluetooth device, you must establish a Bluetooth connection.
1. Type Bluetooth in the taskbar search box, and then select Bluetooth settings.
2. Turn on Bluetooth, if it is not already turned on.
3. Select your device from the list, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
NOTE: If the device requires verification, a pairing code is displayed. On the device you are adding, follow the
on-screen instructions to verify that the code on your device matches the pairing code. For more information,
refer to the documentation provided with the device.

Also, Get into device manager and let me know the Bluetooth name listed.

To get into device manager, Click on the start button at the left-hand bottom corner of the screen, type device manager in the search box.

Device manager app gets highlighted click on device manager.

Go to Bluetooth expand Bluetooth and let me know the name of the device driver.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Cheers! 🙂
