HP Pavilion 17-e110dx Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)

Bluetooth not working and notebook cannot connect to smartphone via USB either. I've installed drivers manually for both yet the result is the same I  don't have a way to save files and media from smartphone to notebook.

The reason that the Bluetooth is not working is because according to the product specs for your model notebook, it does not come with built in Bluetooth networking or that feature would have been listed along with the 1x1 802.11b/g/n WLAN wireless connectivity specification.

If you want to add Bluetooth capability to your notebook you can:

 

Purchase a USB Bluetooth adapter.

 

Replace the internal Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bg/n 1x1 Wi-Fi adapter with a combination Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapter.

 

This adapter would upgrade the Wi-Fi adapter to dual band AC (Wi-Fi 5) and Bluetooth 4.0:

 

Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo HP part # 724935-001
