Belkin F8T017
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)
I am trying to pair my old but excellent workstation, using a Belkin Bluetooth usb , to my bar speaker (Anker) so that I can carry music with me to any room in the house - but it doesn't happen. The speaker pairs with my phone OK, but the PC doesn't appear to understand Bluetooth. I have tried looking for a driver but without success. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Bob Jury

Hi:

The Belkin support site for that model indicates that W7 should have automatically installed the driver.

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to see if either of these Broadcom Bluetooth drivers for W7 work for you...

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp46001-46500/sp46063.exe

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50001-50500/sp50180.exe

If those drivers don't work, or none of the info on the Belkin support page helps (such as finding the driver through Windows update), you can easily solve the problem by purchasing a newer model Bluetooth adapter.  The Broadcom Bluetooth radio your Belkin adapter has is old technology.

This is the model I use, which has the newer Broadcom 4.0 Bluetooth radio.

Thanks Paul. I tried the driver but it didn't work. So I'm going to take your advice and buy the Kinivo BTD-400. Thanks again, Bob

You're very welcome, Bob.

W10 automatically installs the driver, but you will need to install the W7 BT driver...

Here is the Kinovo support page for that model BT adapter.
