Dear HP Support Team,

In the notification panel appearing on the extreme right hand side at the bottom of the screen (of the laptop) on the Taskbar, the 'BLUETOOTH' icon/tab is always appearing to be kepping on with the message showing "Not Connected". While clicking on the icon/tab to put it off, the tab is not getting closed nor any bluetooth connectivity can be established between my laptop and with anothger external device, for e.g. a mobile phone, camera, speaker etc.

The screenshot of the bluetooth icon/tab is attached with this post for reference.

Request you all the look into the matter and provide a resolution at the earliest.

Thanks & Regards

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand your Bluetooth notification is always on & yet it doesn't connect to a device,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

Have you attempted to reinstall the drivers for your wireless/Bluetooth card?

Did you reset the BIOS to defaults and then update the BIOS?

If not, please Click here to find and install the above.

Once done, I recommend you follow the steps mentioned below to use this feature:

View this video on YouTube.

  1. Make sure is discoverable. For instructions, see the section of this document titled Make sure Bluetooth is turned on and discoverable.

  2. In Windows, search for and open Bluetooth and other devices settings.

The Settings window opens to the Devices screen.

  3. On the Bluetooth & other devices tab, toggle the Bluetooth setting to On.
