EliteBook 8440p
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi I'm using my HP Elitebook 8440p-updated version Windows 10, after updating my PC I was not able to use the bluetooth in my PC. I was not able to find the bluetooth switch on or off toggle in my PC bluetooth& other devices settings . I tried to search for it in device manager still I couldn't find it. After watching several Tutorials I went to hp support and drivers official page and searched for drivers by entering my product name but there is no drivers available for my PC.I tried by installing external drivers it didn't work. If someone could find a solution for my problem do reply!!

TIA

Hi:

If you are sure your notebook came with bluetooth you can get it to work as follows...

Go into the BIOS and make sure the BT is present and enabled.

If it is then do the following...

Make a bootable Ubuntu installer.

Ubuntu download...

Download Ubuntu Desktop | Download | Ubuntu

Tutorial for how to make the file bootable...

Create a bootable USB stick on Windows | Ubuntu

Boot from the Ubuntu installer.

Select the option to 'Try Ubuntu Without Installing.'

See if you can turn on the Bluetooth in Ubuntu.

If you can turn it on, shut down the PC, remove the Ubuntu installer and when you get back into Windows, the BT should be present in the device manager.
