I recently bought a pair of wireless earbuds and haven't been able to connect them to the laptop bluetooth.  I can't find the bluetooth  setting on the laptop and don't know if it got removed somehow or maybe it never had bluetooth. Can anyone tell me if this particular model has bluetooth?

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs page for your notebook.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05184652

It does not come with built in Bluetooth networking capability or that feature would have been listed along with the 802.11b/g/n (1x1) wireless connectivity specification.

You have two options to add Bluetooth networking to your PC...

1. You can upgrade the internal wifi card to this model...

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1×1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported)
HP Part # L17365-005

HP has this card on backorder for ages now, but you can find the card on eBay.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure.

2. You can purchase an external USB wifi adapter.

I use this one for example...

how can i tell if my laptop is the same no bluetooth <>

You can look up the specs on your computer model if you have the user guide or do a search on your computer for "bluetooth".  I still wasn't sure after searching my computer so HP was able to give me the answer.
