Solved!

Bluetooth

HP Recommended
HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cannot find the option to turn Bluetooth communication on, on my laptop. I have looked in my settings under devices and didn't find it there. After seeing online that other people had solved this issue by uninstalling the Bluetooth driver and reinstalling it I tried to do the same but could not find Bluetooth in the device manager. My laptop is a HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC and has the product number J9N56UA#ABA. If anyone knows how to get the Bluetooth working it would help significantly.

There are many brands and models around, cheaper too

Hi, @Jordan31

You can also replace the internal Realtek 8188EE wifi card with the Realtek model with bluetooth.

You can find this card in used but tested and working condition on eBay, and it should have recent driver support for W10.

Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11bgn 1×1 + BT 4 LE Combo Adapter   HP part # 753077-001.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=753077-001&_sacat=0&_sop=15

Below is the link to the service manual...

Thank you Paul_Tikkanen that was what I was going to ask next. This information saves me time and a lot of headaches trying to find out how to fix this and the right way to do it.
