Hi @Molly11716,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've encountered a frustrating issue with your Bluetooth functionality after reinstalling it on your HP ENVY X360 laptop. Let's try to troubleshoot this.

Check Bluetooth Hardware Switch: Some laptops have a physical switch or button to enable or disable Bluetooth. Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled through this switch or button. It's usually located on the sides or front of the laptop.

Check Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the 'Bluetooth' category.
  • Check if your Bluetooth device is listed and doesn't have any warning symbols like a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark.

Update Bluetooth Drivers:

  • Right-click on your Bluetooth device in Device Manager.
  • Select "Update driver".
  • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

Reboot Your Laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

Check Airplane Mode:

  • Open the Action Center by clicking the speech bubble icon on the taskbar.
  • Ensure that Airplane mode is turned off. Airplane mode disables all wireless connections, including Bluetooth.

Reset Bluetooth Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
  • Under "Related settings," click on "More Bluetooth options."
  • In the Bluetooth Settings window, go to the "Options" tab.
  • Click on "Restore Defaults" and confirm.
  • Reboot your laptop and check if Bluetooth functionality is restored.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click on "Check for updates" and install any pending updates.
  • Sometimes, Windows updates include fixes for Bluetooth-related issues.

HP Support Assistant: If your laptop came with HP Support Assistant, open it and check for any updates or diagnostics related to Bluetooth.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
