Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I upgraded a WiFi card in another laptop and was amazed at the difference. I now want to upgrade my hp pavilion br158cl to the new be200 WiFi 7 card but can’t tell if it’s compatible. Can anyone confirm if it’s compatible? If not what about the ax411? Thanks

The parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 Wi-Fi adapter.

There are no discussions on this forum where someone has upgraded the Wi-Fi card in that model series, so anything you do would be an experiment with no 100% guarantee of success:

You can try any of the following model Wi-Fi adapters:

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # L35282-005.

Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX + Bluetooth 5.2 M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # M27269-005.

Intel BE200 M.2 2230 Wi-Fi 7 + Bluetooth 5.4 non-vPro WW WLAN module   HP part # N39883-001

None of the Wi-Fi adapters on this list will work in your notebook:

Thanks for the reply and info. Understood no one has discussed upgrading the adapter which is why I’m asking. I’m hoping someone has attempted this before me but if not I’ll test out the two newest adapters.

You're very welcome.

I believe that either of the first two have an excellent chance of working, the BE200, a good chance of working.

**Update**

The BE200 NG39883-005 works perfectly. Plug and play with no issues. Huge improvement!

That's great news.

Thanks for letting us know that the Intel 200BE wifi  7 adapter works works in the 15-br100 model series.
