Just bought HP Omnibook X Flip 14 & attmpting to set up but now has no wifi. Initially during the set up process, the wifi network was found and connected to, but (early on) during update installation it lost wifi connection & got stuck on a page requesting me to install driver manually which I was unable to do without internet connection. I had to go purchase a hub to connect laptop to router which enabled update to finish however still no wifi.
In settings/network&internet there is no wifi option (only VPN/mobile hotspot/airplane mode/proxy/dial up/advanced network settings). I checked the device manager. Under network adaptors there is just Bluetooth device (Personal Area Network) and 8x WAN Miniport variations. I have tried to download the HP network drivers using the recommended hp tool. They appear to download ok but then don't appear in the device manager/network adaptor list despire re-starts. I don't know what else to do but sooooo frustrated and regretting purchasing another hp

Thanks Paul
I finally managed to install the network adaptor but still wouldn't work with a Code10 error. Tried updation BIOS, enabling in BIOS etc etc. During this process discovered that HP battery lasting no more than a few hours at a time before needing to be charged again. Finally gave up, took it back to the store & exchanged the HP omnibook for a Lenovo Yoga....best decision ever...set up smooth, everything works, battery is amazing. Will never go back to HP. Thanks for your time anyway.
