HP released this series around June 2015. No whielist therefore it supports many wifi cards. But to be safe, please use the following cards

  • Broadcom BCM943142 802.11 bgn 1×1 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 M.2 Combo Adapter part # 792608-00
  • Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 802.11 ac 2×2 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter part # 793840-005
  • Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 802.11 ac 1×1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter  part # 784644-005

Both AC cards support dual bands (2.4GHz and 5.0GHz). You can replace wireless card yourself (very rare)  using instructions from page 31 of the following manual

     http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04722798.pdf

Note: 14t-j000 and 14-j000 laptops use same components.

Refards.
