Thats fine Paul.

What I could find from my research is that Most of the HP Pavilion 15-***ax systems are using HP Part # 724935-005

Examples Below :

1. HP PAVILION 15-P035AX NOTEBOOK PC

& Likewise below

HP Pavilion 15-p036AX Notebook PC

HP Pavilion 15-p037AX Notebook PC

HP Pavilion 15-p038AX Notebook PC

HP Pavilion 15-p044AX Notebook PC

So now we have a new question in front of us   , Any Comments?

I still don't know what the difference would be.

I thought maybe the part number 724935-005 is what is used in a general part of the world such as Southeast Asia and Australia, and that may well be, but I also noticed that part number is used on models inthe USA as well.

The same can be said for the part you ordered (001).  Seems to be the more common part number as well.

I just have no clue.

I know from experience some cards are half cards and some are taller cards. Even though its the same card model. Intel on their Wifi bluetooth combo cards can offer different size cards. Because you have to fasten the card with a screw the main thing is replacing the card with the same type. If you open up you PC it's pretty easy to tell if its a half card or not.

Yes, Its a half one but how does it help in my Question fo r the difference between the two?

HP Recommended

As long as you get the same form size of card it doesn't matter what card you use. If its half card any half card will work provided you have the proper antenna connections for duel band cards. If you only have a single lead antenna then you would have to install a antenna to get duel band 2.4 and 5 ghz bands. Because cards are fastened to the motherboard with a single retaining screw. You have to have the correct card design to have it fasten to the board.  The only difference potentially in cards is what country are they supported for.  Some countries while using same bands for wifi as US use different frequencies for those bands. All you need to know is if they are compatible with US 2.4 and 5 ghz bands. Otherwise they are probably same cards just different part numbers. Best advice is find out what cards work in US model and buy one a US supplier.

Hi:

I think you misunderstood my last reply.

I was thanking you for reporting back and letting us know that your wireless card upgrade was successful.

And you have.

We like to keep track of this info so that we can help others with similar model notebooks.

A lot of folks say they will report back and never do.
