A couple days ago I noticed I was unable to connect to any internet networks on my laptop. The only ones I've had luck is at school or via a USB and my smartphone hotspot. I've tried enabling/disabling airplane mode, and the wifi settings. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the network adapter, barely managed to install a couple different antivirus apps and found nothing in scans. I've reset my network settings to default probably 3 or 4 times already and I've tried changing the adapter properties and using safe mode and just every single method I could find within a full page of google searches and AV programs. I've gotten a bit frustrated and I could appreciate any additional help anyone can offer. Thanks, J. Leclerc Specs: HP Laptop Model 15t-dy200 ProdID 2D117AV

Hi, thank you for getting back to me!
My operating system is Windows 11 home. Additionally, I've been having this issue for a few weeks now and have continued installing a few different drivers and gone through a lot of troubleshooting. It seems I've been able to connect to public Wifi networks like the one at my school and job, and my mobile hotspot. Basically any private network with a password, even when entered correctly says "can't connect to this network", excluding my hotspot.

Sorry, replied while logged into my google account for some reason. But this response still applies:
Hello again,
So I followed the link tried updating my network driver again. I installed the new one successfully but I still didnt have any luck connecting. I checked out the "events" under the driver properties and apparently it was having issues starting. It said:
"Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A0F0&SUBSYS_00748086&REV_20\3&11583659&2&A3 had a problem starting.
Driver Name: oem57.inf
Class Guid: {4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}
Service: Netwtw10
Lower Filters:
Upper Filters: vwifibus
Problem: 0x0
Problem Status: 0xC00000E5"
I also updated the firmware from the device manager and there were no BIOS updates available when I checked the other drivers for my specific device.

Hi @JLeclerc17
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see that you are facing faulty RAM.
Here, we require to check corrupt system files.
System File Checker (SFC) is a utility in Windows that scans for corrupted Windows system files. If it finds a problem, it will try to replace the problematic system files from a cached version that’s on your PC.
To run System File Checker (SFC), follow these steps:
- In the search box on the taskbar, type command prompt, press and hold (or right-click) Command Prompt, then select Run as administrator > Yes.
- At the command prompt, type sfc /scannow (note the space between sfc and the /). Scanning will take a few minutes.
- If SFC finds corrupted files and replaces them, restart your PC and check if the issue persists.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thank you again for the suggestion @Treeko. SFC didn't find any corrupted files, but I restarted the computer and ran the scan a few times just in case. I'm not really sure what to do anymore and I've been just using a wifi hotspot from my phone for weeks now. I've tried maybe 20 different methods and not only have they not worked, but the issue at hand is still unclear to me. Probably just gonna stick with what I've got if the problem persists.
