Wireless display and laptop detect eachother but fail to connect. Another wireless display connects for less than ten seconds before disconnecting. I've recieved no help with this from HP. All drivers are updated.

Thanks for the reply,
Have you tried Updating the drivers?
If not, use this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-m7-n100-notebook-pc/8499292/model/8788306 and update the Wireless and the latest BIOS.
If the issue persists, follow unable to add or connect to the wireless display.
If you can't add the wireless display or adapter, wait for it to become ready, and then try again. If that doesn’t work, restart your computer and the wireless display or adapter.
If your computer won't connect to the display, remove and then add it again.

Thanks for the reply,
Could you please help me with the wireless card in your notebook?
If you have an Intel wireless, follow the below.
What you need
To take advantage of Intel WiDi Technology, you need to have the following:
- A WiDi ready portable device (such as the Stone NT310) - this will meet the minimum hardware requirements such the correct Intel Wireless card, Intel HD Graphics and Intel Processor.
- Reasonably up to date Intel HD Graphics Drivers, and Intel Wireless card drivers
- The WiDi software itself
- Windows 7 or Windows 8.x.
- A WiDi or Miracast compatible receiver. Examples include the Actiontec Screenbeam or the Netgear PTV3000. If you are unsure if your device supports WiDi, you can always go by the WiDi or Miracast certified sticker on the product or packaging.
1. In the conference room, have a Pro WiDi certified integrated or standalone receiver with latest firmware
2. Launch the WiDi application on your PC
3. Users Connect to the wireless display receiver according to their Windows* 7, 8.1 or 10 version
4. Users select the receiver name displayed on the monitor or display in the conference room
5. If first time pairing is required, user enters the PIN displayed on monitor
6. Once connected, users choose to project via the Duplicate or Extend mode in the Pro WiDi application
7. To end the Pro WiDi session, users click on Disconnect in the WiDi application on their PCs
Keep me posted, hope this helps you.
Have a great day!

If you see Add a wireless display, your computer supports Miracast.

If your computer doesn’t support Miracast, you can try to project with a wired connection. For more info, see one of the following the HP support document: Connecting a Monitor, Projector or TV (Windows 😎 for notebooks or Connecting a Monitor, Projector or TV (Windows 😎 for desktops.

What model of Wi-Fi card do you have in your notebook? You can find this by right clicking the Windows icon at the left of the task bar, choosing "Device Manager", then opening up "Network adapters".
It might be that there is a later driver available from the Wi-Fi card manufacturer that works better in your application than the HP supplied driver.
