Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265

I updated the drivers several months ago from the intel website

Intel update their drivers relatively frequently. It's certainly worth trying the latest drivers from the Intel web site.

Thanks again,

The drivers are up to date

I thought so. If you have the older revision of the 7265, it doesn't look like the driver has been updated since mid June 2018.

It is possible your firewall software is blocking something essential for wireless display to work. You could try disabling it temporarily to see if that allows wireless display to work - but only if you are in an environment where you feel it is safe to run that test. You should immediately re-enable your firewall after a brief test.

It might help to test against another Windows 10 computer - you might be less likely to fall over a compatibility issue that way.

My other computers are able to connect to the display wirelessly without issue

I turned of the firewall and hoped dearly it would solve the issue, but the issue persists.

Do any of your working devices have the same wireless card as your troublesome HP? If so, can you install the same driver version as on one of these working systems? (Just to make things complicated, there are two versions of the Intel 7265 which use different drivers).

Will your troublesome HP connect OK to one of the working devices placed in "Projecting to this PC" mode (in Windows 10, select "Connect to a wireless display" and then click "Projecting to this PC" to set this up)?

None of the other computers have the same wireless card.

One screen simply will not connect; another screen connects for about five seconds and disconnects
