Hi:

Open the log file and see what it reports.

If you have the connections are available icon showing on the bottom right side of the taskbar, then you should be able to connect to the internet.

If not, then try the latest driver directly from Intel and see if that works.  5th one down on the left side of the page.

Hi:

The problem is that there can be one of many different wifi adapters HP could have installed in your notebook, so I will need some info from you, and then I can post the link to the wifi driver you need for your specific notebook.

Go to the device manager.  Under an Other Devices category there should be a device labeled as a Network Controller.

That is the name Windows gives the wifi adapter when it needs a driver.

Please post the hardware ID for the Network Controller device, and then I will post the link to the wifi driver you need.

Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...

Hi:

Here are the wifi and bluetooth drivers you need for the Intel wifi card...

This package contains drivers required to enable functionality of the Intel Wireless LAN adapter on supported notebooks with supported operating systems.

I installed the driver, and now a message popped up telling me to refer to the log file for details.

What should I do now?
