ExampleHP 14-dk1000 Laptop PC Series: Pavilion 6530
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently purchased a powerline ethernet adapter so I can hook up to a wired connection in a seperate room from our router, without having to run a very long ethernet cable through the house. The device is connected to the router and supposed to send a signal to another device plugged into my office and connect to my laptop with an ethernet cable. I never got a prompt to download the utility for the device on my laptop. It also hasn't been able to connect to our wifi, it just continues to say unidentified network, no internet. I have never set something like this up before and I really need it for work. I also don't have the box serial number for my laptop so the help I can get from HP is limited. If anyone can help, it would be amazing.

Power line adapters (you have to use 2 points) work similar to running LAN cable, the connection should come up automatically given you could use longer LAN cable before. Do you plug directly to the wall OR using a power board ?

Did you buy a set or only one (2 adapters) ? Which brand and model ?

Regards.
