Hello,

 

I have an Omen 15-ax221nf laptop that came with an Intel 7265NGW wifi module.

I would like to change it to a wifi6 module.

 

Unfortunately, there is so much variant of the Intel ax201 module that I can't figure out which one I should take.

  • AX201.D2WG.L
  • AX201D2WGW
  • AX201D2WGLW
  • AX201.D2WG.NV
  • AX201.D2WG.LNV
  • AX201NGWGNVW
  • AX201D2WGNVW
  • AX201D2WGLNVW

  • AX201.NGWG.NV

Could someone help me choose the right one please ?

Is there a compatibility list somewhere or could HP recommand me a wifi6 card that works on my Omen model ?

Hi:

 

I don't believe any of the AX201's will work.

 

I'd play it safe, and try this model wifi card...

 

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # L35282-005.

 

You can buy the above card directly from HP at the link below.

The only wifi cards guaranteed to work are the ones listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual.
