- My wifi would randomly stop working and show realtek network adapter to be disconnected in device manager. I tried everything to get it working but it would randomly work for short times. I replaced the Realtek Rtl8822ce with a new Intel ax200ngw. Bluetooth is working but I get code 31 when attempting to install drivers for new Intel network adapter.

Hi @Diesel_Dylan,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're facing driver-related issues after replacing the Realtek Rtl8822ce with an Intel ax200ngw network adapter in your HP Pavilion Gaming laptop. The Code 31 error typically indicates that Windows is unable to load the necessary drivers for the device.
Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Uninstall Existing Drivers:
- Go to "Device Manager" (you can right-click on the Start button and select it).
- Locate the Intel ax200ngw under "Network adapters" and right-click on it.
- Choose "Uninstall device" and check the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device."
- Click "Uninstall" and restart your computer.
Install the Latest Drivers:
- Download the latest drivers for the Intel ax200ngw from the official Intel website.
- Make sure to download the correct drivers for your operating system (e.g., Windows 10 64-bit).
- Install the downloaded drivers and follow any on-screen instructions.
Update Windows:
- Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date. Sometimes, Windows updates include driver updates.
Check for BIOS/UEFI Updates:
- Visit the HP support website and check if there are any BIOS/UEFI updates available for your laptop. Sometimes, updating the system firmware can resolve compatibility issues.
Check for Hardware Issues:
- Ensure that the new network adapter is properly seated in its slot.
- If possible, test the adapter in another compatible system to ensure it's functioning correctly.
Roll Back Drivers (if needed):
- If the latest drivers are causing issues, you can try rolling back to the previous driver version. Right-click on the network adapter in Device Manager, select "Properties," go to the "Driver" tab, and choose "Roll Back Driver" if the option is available.
Manually Install Drivers:
- Instead of letting Windows automatically install the drivers, you can manually install them. Right-click on the device in Device Manager, choose "Update driver," and then select "Browse my computer for drivers." Point it to the location where you downloaded the Intel drivers.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
