Does HP have a wireless network card, that can upgrade my laptop to 5Mbps from 2.4Mbps? I have a Qualcomm Atheros AR5007 802.11b/g WiFi Adapter. I tried to install a Qualcomm Atheros AR5009 802.11a|g|n WiFi Adapter but on restart I get
an Error Message 104 Unsupported wireless network device detected System Halted. Help

Hi:
If your notebook has an Intel processor and chipset, you may be able to upgrade to the Intel card listed in the service manual in chapter 3 on page 16.
http://www.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01295803.pdf
You would have to get one with the same part number listed in the service manual.
Intel 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN module:
441086-001
441086-002
There is no guarantee it will work, but that card (depending on what part of the world you live in), is the only one available and only for notebook's with an Intel processor and chipset.
I would imagine the only place you may find part number you need for your country, would be on eBay.
