Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

  • Have you tried connecting the gamepad on different computer or laptop?
  • Are you getting any pop-up when a device is connected?

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi! I haven't tried it to other units. I unpaired it but now my laptop can't detect it. There os no pop up. My gamepad is a mocute 050 maybe you are familiar with this. Also there is another problem with my wifi. It cannot detect other wifi networks available within range Thank you for your response

I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Firstly, run Hard Reset: Follow steps from the link: https://hp.care/2GnkMa8 (if the computer doesn't start up/power on you can skip the next step)

Next step, BIOS default:

  1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  2. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  4. Press F10 to Save and Exit.
  5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
  6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

Next, uninstall Wireless Adapter from device manager.

  1. Use shortcut keys Win + X on Windows 10.
  2. Select Device Manager.
  3. Expand the entry. Right-click the Wireless Adapter and select Uninstall device.
  4. You may need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device, and then click the Uninstall button.
  5. Reboot the computer and check.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi! So if I do this it will reset my laptop and all the installed files will be gone? I updated my laptop today and it detected the gamepad and I am able to pair the gamepad to the laptop. But there is a prompt that it should be troubleshoot. There is a missing driver

Glad to hear that the gamepad got paired with the laptop, future windows update will enhance the performance.

Performing BIOS default will not erase the system files or settings.
Keep me posted for further assistance.
