Hi @maburton,
Welcome to HP Support Community!
We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊
I understand how frustrating it can be when your HP ENVY 6052e printer won’t connect to a new modem, especially when everything else seems to be working. Let’s walk through the steps together to get your printer connected to your T-Mobile A42D modem.
Option 1: Use the HP Smart App (Recommended)
- Download the HP Smart App on your Windows 11 PC from HP Smart - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store.
- Open the app and click “+ Add Printer”.
- If your printer is not listed, reset the network settings:
- On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button together for 5 seconds until the Power light blinks.
- This resets the network settings and puts the printer in Wi-Fi setup mode.
- In the HP Smart app, follow the prompts to connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi (SSID: T-Mobile A42D, Password: Snarf072).
Option 2: Use WPS (if your modem supports it)
- On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button until it starts blinking.
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your modem.
- Wait for the wireless light on the printer to stop blinking; it should stay solid when connected.
