I have an HP Inspire 7900 Series printer and have subscribed to the Instant Ink program. My printer is connected to the Internet via my xFinity router. It passes Wi-Fi On, Wi-Fi Working, has Excellent signal strength and Good signal quality. The Wi-Fi connection light is solid blue. Whenever I print something wirelessly, the printer wakes and the document loads. I then receive the following message on the printer's physical control panel:
Connection Problem
Reconnect the printer to the internet so the the printer can automatically order replacement cartridges.
To learn more, open the HP Smart app or visit www.hpsmart.com and sign in.
When I click the OK button at the bottom of the message, whatever I have sent to be printed prints. I clearly have a network connection or the document would not have been received by the printer. This happens each time I try to print something.
Any ideas about how I can resolve this issue?
I've had the printer for several months, and have not run out of ink or received an ink shipment yet, so I don't know if my usage levels are being transmitted to HP.
