Hello,

I rely on my SIM card for internet access on my laptop, but this morning, it suddenly stopped working. I've tried several troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists. I’m hoping someone can help me identify and fix the problem.

Troubleshooting Steps I've Taken:

  • Removed and reseated the SIM card.
  • Restarted the computer multiple times.
  • Replaced the SIM card with a new one.
  • Restored the system to a point from yesterday (5:30 PM), when everything was working fine.

Driver Issues:

I’ve noticed that I don’t have some drivers mentioned in troubleshooting guides, including a Bluetooth driver, even though my laptop supports Bluetooth. According to HP Support, I don’t need any additional drivers, but I see three drivers listed that seem different from what I have. Additionally, there are two drivers on my computer marked with an exclamation mark. Could these driver issues be causing the SIM card to not work?

HP Support tells me I'm not needing any driver updates, yet there are 3 listed under networking, which appear to be different than what I have here and there are also 2 drivers on my computer with ! next to them, so I'm wondering if these could be having an effect?:

Could one of the above drivers help? and if so, which one do I try as I don't want to risk causing a problem with the computer.

Error Message After Restore:

After restoring the system, I received the following error message regarding CrossDeviceService.exe not being able to start. I’m not sure what this software does, but could it be related to the SIM card issue?

Could anyone please help me identify which driver might be causing the issue or if the error message is related? I depend on my cellular data for internet access, so any advice would be much appreciated!

Thank you for your time and assistance!
