Does Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter Support 5Ghz

Hi there

I would like to find out if my machine supported 5Ghz since I can only see 2.4Ghz WIFI and not my other 5ghz which always connected to all my other smart phone. Below are details for my network:-

Hi:

Your notebook has the Broadcom BCM43142 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi Adapter.

It only works on the 2.4 GHz wireless band.

Anytime you see a wifi N adapter with a suffix that ends in b/g/n, that means it is a single band (2.4 GHz only) wireless network adapter.

Dual band wifi N adapters have suffixes that end in a/b/g/n, or a/g/n.
