Hello,
I recently installed Windows 7 Pro 64 but onto my old HP 2000 laptop that originally had windows 8 preinstalled.

Hi, @ViolentVista
You can use all of the W7 drivers from the HP 2000t-2a00 model on yours except the BIOS and firmware files.

Your notebook would use the Atheros Wi-Fi adapter driver.

Hello @ViolentVista
Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.
HP supports Windows 8 and 8.1, only:
Software and drivers for HP 2000-2d24DX Notebook PC
=> You can try to install Windows 8 drivers on Windows 7, but there is no guarantee.
To be able to work really stable, I would recommend to install Windows 8.1
Good luck

If you don't have an antivirus program, I believe that Microsoft Security Essential still works.
Download Microsoft Security Essentials from Official Microsoft Download Center
