Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have just installed driver for Intel Wireless Ac 3168 NGW on my Win 7 4 bit system and the driver seems to be installed successfully, but the WiFi is still turned off and since i don't have any switch button for WiFi, i have tried to turn it on with FN and F12 buttons, but nothing happened. Is it possible that your drivers are not working properly for AC 3168 on Win 7 or maybe i need to install some additional software to turn the WiFi on?

Please help!

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are unable to use WIFI after installing the driver. would like to help you resolve this issue.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

  • Where did download the driver from?
  • Did you any other changes apart from driver installation?

Meanwhile

I have a few steps to resolve the issue:

  • Since you've already reinstalled drivers, I would recommend using an Ethernet cable (Wired) and update your Wi-Fi drivers using this link

  • Update the bios by visiting this link or through support assistant using an Ethernet cable.

  • Now try to connect to the internet wireless.

The best way to do that is using the HP Guided Troubleshooter:

Click here to access it (simply select your description of the issue from the bottom of the screen to gain access to the next set of steps that should resolve your concern).

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers.
